Fall Clean Up at St. Cecilia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We need you to help clean up the St. Cecilia rectory on Saturday, September 26 from 9 to noon. We\u2019ll be painting and fixing up the exterior. We\u2019ll see you there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parish School of Religion Announcement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

This fall, our parish will be doing religious education a little differently. Things may change in the spring, but for the fall, only the Confirmation class will be meeting in person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are asking parents to teach their children at home using the picture bibles we have for family use. Each Sunday, parents will have a New Testament story from the bible to discuss with their children, along with an activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration for PSR this year is free; however, please register your family beginning August 30 before or after mass. We will give you the book and lessons for your family to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First Communion classes will meet in person in January to prepare for receiving their first Eucharist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confirmation preparation will be held on September 13, October 11, and November 1. These classes will last three hours and mass will be part of the class. Confirmation is here at St. Cecilia on November 8 at 10:30am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anuncio de la Escuela Parroquial de Religi\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este oto\u00f1o, nuestra parroquia har\u00e1 educaci\u00f3n religiosa un poco diferente. Las cosas pueden cambiar en la primavera, pero para el oto\u00f1o, solo la clase de Confirmaci\u00f3n se reunir\u00e1 en persona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les pedimos a los padres que ense\u00f1en a sus hijos en casa usando las biblias ilustradas que tenemos para uso familiar. Cada domingo, los padres tendr\u00e1n una historia del Nuevo Testamento de la Biblia para discutir con sus hijos, junto con una actividad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La inscripci\u00f3n para PSR este a\u00f1o es gratuita; sin embargo, inscriba a su familia a partir del 30 de agosto antes o despu\u00e9s de la misa. Le daremos el libro y las lecciones para que las use su familia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las clases de Primera Comuni\u00f3n se reunir\u00e1n en persona en enero para prepararse para recibir su primera Eucarist\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parish Update from Fr David:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

P arish life is picking back up! With social distancing, mask wearing, and frequent sanitization we are able to have a somewhat normal schedule. With that in mind, here’s an update of what’s gone on during the last few months at the parish. A few months back, when we were able to resume public masses, through the help of some generous donors, we were able to purchase the $1,000+ worth of equipment we needed to begin livestreaming mass from St Cecilia. We thanked them at that time, but I don’t think we can thank you enough for bringing mass into the homes of so many who were at risk and couldn’t make it to church! A little while after that, our lapel microphone broke for the church. Again, some generous donors stepped up and we were able to purchase and install a new microphone. Many thanks to them! Some ongoing projects have to do with the website and air conditioning. We have a new parish website: www.stceciliakennett.com<\/u><\/a>! It is a work in progress, right now we only have basic info, but we’re also trying to get the bulletin uploaded every week. In regards to the air conditioning, we had to repair one of the units for the fall earlier in the summer. This has prompted us to start all our units on a regular maintenance schedule. We do have some older units, so we are also going to start planning for future replacement. Finally, we are going to begin some planning at our upcoming parish council meeting for future fundraising and parish improvement projects. With the Delta Fair canceled this year, we’re going to have to get creative, and we have a few projects we want to complete (like the roof), and a few others we want to start. \u00a1La vida en la parroquia se est\u00e1 recuperando! Con el distanciamiento social, el uso de m\u00e1scaras y la desinfecci\u00f3n frecuente, podemos tener un horario algo normal. Con eso en mente, aqu\u00ed hay una actualizaci\u00f3n de lo que sucedi\u00f3 durante los \u00faltimos meses en la parroquia. Hace unos meses, cuando pudimos Para reanudar las misas p\u00fablicas, con la ayuda de algunos donantes generosos, pudimos comprar el equipo por valor de $ 1,000 + que necesit\u00e1bamos para comenzar a transmitir la misa en vivo desde Santa Cecilia.
