Seminarian at St Cecilia for the Summer!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greetings,\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My name is Nick Zummo, and I am a seminarian for the diocese. This summer, I will be helping out around the parish, and I look forward to getting to know each of you. In anticipation of that, I would like to take a moment to tell you a little about myself. I am originally from Springfield and went to High School in Nixa. Currently, I attend school at Mundelein Seminary in Chicago. This year I will be in my second year of theological studies. Thus far, I have particularly enjoyed my courses on the Scriptures. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer and running. As we move into the summer, I look forward to getting to know each of you in the parish community. Reading 1 <\/strong>2 Kgs 4:8-11, 14-16a<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One day Elisha came to Shunem,
where there was a woman of influence, who urged him to dine with her.
Afterward, whenever he passed by, he used to stop there to dine.
So she said to her husband, \u201cI know that Elisha is a holy man of God.
Since he visits us often, let us arrange a little room on the roof
and furnish it for him with a bed, table, chair, and lamp,
so that when he comes to us he can stay there.\u201d
Sometime later Elisha arrived and stayed in the room overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later Elisha asked, \u201cCan something be done for her?\u201d
His servant Gehazi answered, \u201cYes!
She has no son, and her husband is getting on in years.\u201d
Elisha said, \u201cCall her.\u201d
When the woman had been called and stood at the door,
Elisha promised, \u201cThis time next year
you will be fondling a baby son.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
